Fundraising
The Centre remains active as a result of the wonderful support from the wider community. Individuals, schools, clubs and businesses all play their part in assisting financially. The Centre also has sponsorship programs; regular fundraising events, after school lessons and four fundraising thrift shops run by volunteers.HOW YOU CAN HELP!
Why help us?
You could play an integral part in helping a small local charity provide a fantastic service and opportunities for people with a disability.
Horses
The McIntyre requires quiet and patient horses and ponies on a donation or leasing basis.
Equipment
Donations of supplies and new or used horse-related items are always welcome!
Professional Services
Whether it is farriers, veterinarians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, recreational therapists etc. a donation of expertise is paramount in the continued quality of service offered by the McIntyre Centre.
Funding and Sponsorship
All gift and donations $2+ are tax deductible. Your donations play a key role in maintaining the unique service the McIntyre Centre offers. Your donation helps maintain the myriad of operational costs a facility of this nature incurs.
Volunteers
We need you! Whatever your interests and experience you personally could help with lessons and horse care, equipment maintenance and general operations.
The McIntyre Centre serves as part of an international organisation, yet we have a small overall membership base. As a result it is essential that we maximise the use of our existing resources to help maintain the high stand our PRDA program maintains. Community riding lessons are a major fundraising venture and our facilities operate as both equestrian centre and as a hub for various fundraising events. Despite the significant financial aid this brings we still need your help! Please donate in anyway you can, your help serves as means for facilitating a brighter future for our kids!
Phone Michelle Beatty or Julie Tom on (07) 3202 6300 or email fundraising@rda.asn.au or drop in - there are many other ways to help.
