“Cuddles” is one of 40 horses at the Centre helping over 200 children with disabilities each week achieve their goals. 

The McIntyre Centre is very proud to have Westpac on board promoting our horse sponsorship program across greater Brisbane and has kick-started the appeal by sponsoring Cuddles for 3 years and supporting the “Cuddles Appeal”. Our aim is to try and raise 200,000 “cuddles” … with every cuddle = $1.

The “Cuddes Appeal” is the largest fundraising campaign that the McIntyre Centre has undertaken and was launched to the public in Post Office Square in the city on Thursday 28 July.

Yet again, Mark and his team from Westpac cooked up a storm behind the BBQ and we celebrated the International Horses Birthday with a beautiful birthday cake. Unfortunately due to council regulations we were unable to take the star of the show Cuddles, but we are grateful to Horseland Jindalee for the loan of Noddy, their life sized plastic horse who did a fine job filling in for Cuddles! 

Thank you to Margaret de Wit in steering us in the right direction with regards to gaining permits for the BBQ and parking for the day – your support was much appreciated.
